Research Title: Uncertainty quantification in hydro-environmental systems models

Abstract: Identifying the extent to which certain physically meaningful variables influence model uncertainty can lead to improved models by highlighting the domain parameters whose assessment in more detail would be prudent. Such findings would not only help de-risk investment in tidal stream energy, but also make hydraulic models more reliable. For example, by applying the findings to flood predicting models greater certainty in expected flood levels may help coastal communities become more resilient in the face of increasingly frequent and severe weather events.
