Research area: Nonlinear hydrodynamic loadings on Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT)

Touhidul Islam is a full-time PhD student at the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Wind and Marine Energy System and Structures (WAMSS) in the University of Edinburgh. He works with the “Non-linear hydrodynamics of the Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT)” for my PhD research project.


Before starting his PhD, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Bangladesh for three years. Prior to that, he worked as a professional naval architect and marine structural engineer for more than 10 years in the Marine and Offshore industry at home and aboard.
